Welcome to 5th Grade! An exciting year, full of transitions and new concepts. I am delighted to have your child within my classroom. This is my fourth year teaching, but second year at Dresden! I've taught fourth grade and third grade at Schuchard Elementary. I am excited to spend the year getting to know each and every one of you!
Although I was born in Michigan, I spent the majority of my life living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has amazing history, so I enjoyed traveling to various historical sites. I graduated from Penn State University with a Pre-veterinary bachelors of science degree. As a child, I had always envisioned myself as either a Veterinarian or Elementary School teacher. After completing one of those dreams, I went back to school for elementary education. I am currently certified to teach K-8 Elementary Education with endorsements in Mathematics and Science. Math is a passion of mine and I hope to get students excited about it.
When I am not teaching in the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our labrador retriever, Remi. He is bundles of energy, which is why walking and spending time outdoors is such a hobby of mine. I also enjoy playing softball, bike riding, camping, and cooking. Fall and summer are my favorite seasons because the weather is just perfect for being outdoors!
I have two little boys, Declan and Lincoln. Declan loves his baby brother and has fun planning adventures with his dinosaurs. Our first baby was our chocolate labrador Remi, he is almost 8 years old! He loves playing outside and chasing deer!
